ALCF On Demand: Integrated Research Infrastructure for Experiment-Time Computing with Globus
- Online
In this webinar, Argonne’s Christine Simpson and Hannah Parraga will discuss how ALCF supports experimental scientists with time-sensitive computing needs. Attendees will learn about the use of on-demand queues, service accounts, and Globus tools, along with an example case from the Advanced Photon Source, where an automated service connects beamline scientists to GPUs on ALCF’s Polaris system for rapid data analysis. ALCF’s support for experiment-time computing is part of the Department of Energy’s Integrated Research Infrastructure program and complements tools and approaches used at other DOE computing facilities.
Service Enabled-Science Series: Our new training series is designed to help researchers integrate ALCF services, tools, and computing resources into their workflows. The series will include informational webinars and hands-on training sessions, offering opportunities to work with real-world datasets and workflows. Attendees will also hear success stories from research teams who are using these services to enable faster, more efficient science.
