Technical Support Engineer

In this role you will provide second-tier support to end users of Globus hosted services (SaaS) and platform services (PaaS). A key component of the role is ensuring organizations and their researchers can successfully deploy and use Globus services. You will interact with network services, software systems engineers, and/or applications development professionals to install and configure Globus Connect Server, and you will identify and correct problems with Globus Connect Server deployments, including software that integrates local compute clusters, identity providers (IdPs), and storage systems into the Globus ecosystem. You will also work with researchers and with other end users to enable their use of Globus Connect Server deployments and their use of other Globus services, such as Globus automation services and Globus Compute.

Senior DevOps Engineer

As a senior member of the Globus Operations team, reporting to the System and Security Operations Manager, the focus of this position is to architect, implement and operate a resilient Cloud infrastructure to ensure security, high-performance, high-availability and scalability for Globus platform services. We’re looking for a talented DevOps engineer who can integrate our services with the monitoring, operations, and deployment engineering required for effective operation as a hosted service.

Senior Software Engineer

As a senior member of the product team, you will be responsible for delivering capabilities in the Globus data management platform, with focus on the application(s) installed at the customer sites for data access and transfer. In this role, you will collaborate with other engineers to build out capabilities in the distributed application to deliver reliable data management solutions across a variety of storage systems (e.g. POSIX, object stores, tape archives), and support high performance data transfer (via a FTP based protocol) and collaborative data sharing.

Marketing Coordinator

Reporting to the Globus marketing and communications manager, the focus of this position is to support the marketing, sales and customer management processes so that Globus Customer Team members are successful in their day-to-day activities. As a critical member of the Customer Team the Marketing Coordinator will plan and execute activities in support of driving awareness, converting users to paying subscribers, and retaining existing customers.

Manager, System and Security Operations

As manager of the system and security operations team at Globus, you will manage the operations and delivery of infrastructure services, and ensure the security compliance requirements are met. The work your team does underpins the secure research data management platform and services we provide to scientists worldwide. Hosted on AWS, the platform includes a variety of services for identity and access management, data transfer and sharing, and task automation, delivered both as a software-as-a-service, and platform-as-a-service.

Governance, Risk and Compliance Lead

As Governance, Risk, and Compliance Lead for Globus, you will spearhead the Unit’s compliance endeavors, ensuring alignment with essential regulatory standards for both our products and operations. In this capacity, you’ll oversee the compliance program to uphold these standards, crafting and leading initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency as we expand. Your focus will be on ensuring that we consistently meet our customers’ compliance requirements while scaling our operations effectively

Professional Services Engineer

As a Professional Services Engineer, you will help researchers achieve their research goals by integrating Globus SaaS/PaaS data and compute management services with their research applications. Organizations that adopt Globus include universities, national laboratories, federal research agencies and commercial companies of all shapes and sizes, and no single approach to data management works for all. Your knowledge of software development, high-performance computing, storage, and data architecture, combined with strong communication skills and analytical abilities, will help you demonstrate to customers how Globus services can improve and help sustain applications in diverse research disciplines.

We’re looking for highly skilled developers experienced in building and supporting Python backend services and systems that will be used by thousands of researchers in pursuit of open data initiatives supported by the NSF, NIST, DOE, and the Materials Genome Initiative.
